Matt Forsyth is a skilled craftsman who works in O gauge. He models anthracite roads with a number of scratchbuilt models to his credit. He undertook a project to rebuild an Intermountain PFE R-40-10 reefer into a SFRD Rr-21 class. The project required modification to the side panels with added rivet strips cur from .005” styrene with embossed rivets. The model was modified to create a 5 foot door rather than the PFE 4 foot design. The roof hatches are complete reworked since the Santa Fe used a different orientation to the hatches a different design to the platform. Matt also built the Duryea underframe as per the prototype cars. The model is finished with Scalecoat paint and Microscale decals to get the straight map design.
