The following article was prepared to show the key areas that need to be modified in converting a typical import to P48. You can use this article as guide in converting your own Sunset Pacific or some other import. The basic ideas are nearly universal.

John did not show the motor being replaced in the article but he did send a photo showing the new Faulhaber motor that will replace the Pittman that came with the model. The motor is significantly more efficient than the Pittman and will run a much lower current draw. The model will likely get one of the new high current Tsumani Sound units once they are released.
